Islamic wars countered offensives and oppression for civilian liberties-

The battles that Prophet Muhammad blessings of God be on him, commanded known as Gazwahs in Arabic were in response to long standing offensives committed against early Muslims converts in Makkah by mostly akin and at the borders of Roman & the Persian empire’s state controlled territories. Who despite their mutual rivalry had time off to treat the early converts to Islam in contempt. Who happened to live as Bedouin subjects in their respective territories because of their embracing the new faith that arose in Arabia. Otherwise, in my humble understanding God would not direct men to charge other men with weaponry.

Certainly, Allah, the Majestic commands the believing Muslims to fight with bravery in the face of an enemy; when called to defend themselves and their faith. Many critics under prejudice allege that Quran encourages to kill disbelievers indiscriminately. Here is an explanation to clarify many attempts laid down by biased writers to vilify the revelation of God to a people in a certain context. The verse Quran 8.60–And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged-. This verse asks Muslims to fight, in the face of an enemy mustering an attack on you, otherwise war is not called for in Islam. The critics who allege that Quran propagates violence are amazingly regressive and narrow minded. They conveniently avoid the next verse Quran 8.61 -But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and trust in Allah. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower-. Sane audience do not require any further explanation. Please make it a point that there isn’t any lenience for any kind of offensive in the entire Quranic discourse; if Muslims do commit such a thing they will unfailingly earn the displeasure of Allah, the Stringent. Unfortunately, due to induced middle eastern catastrophe by world powers we have seen quite a dangerous use of tactics to avenge their enemy by middle eastern feuds. While, others have resorted to violent methods unapproved off in Islam.

Fasad (mischief) mongering is at its high, non Muslim critics of Islam & ignorant clerics in Islam, alike have deliberated savagery in the book of God. In the wake of such voices, people have been mislead to act over those commands in disobedience to the orders of Allah. The least that I could do is to earnestly request the community of journalists  and religious peers to refrain from amplifying the brute political voice of anger and hatred crushing humankind today. In my opinion such voices have driven people away from practising God’s instructed compassion and mutual good will. Quran 2.190 -Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loves not transgressors-. In the absence of an enemy Muslims can not mount any offensive. Islamic wars are not meant to be offensive to any people, but in the face of an enemy fighting you the verse says -do not exceed the limits-. Allah promises His love for those who sincerely observe noble ethics laid down by Allah and His messenger in any war situation. Prophet Muhammad, peace & blessings of Allah be on him; emphatically commanded to strike only those who strike at you and do not harm others of their men who refrain from fighting you, neither harm any woman, children nor pull down any infrastructure or destroy crops. Under such limits and profound teachings his followers even desisted harming armed Women during the battles. See, Muhammad – His Life based on the earliest sources, by Martin Lings, Page 182.

Quran 2.191 -And kill them wherever you may come upon them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out, for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter. But fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they [first] fight you there. If when they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith-. Early Muslims, were driven out of their homes from Makkah (Mecca), their properties, livestock and their businesses were traded to Syria. The early pact of believers were forced in to exile by their own tribes mostly akin,  as a result some prominent companions under the orders of Prophet Muhammad were contained in Christian Abyssinia (modern day Ethiopia) as the Prophet peace and blessings of Allah be on him; credited his highness King Negus for his mercy and equity. Where, he further said of him –he who has never oppressed anyone-. A few years later Muhammad with the rest of the believers  migrated to Madina (Medina) upon assuming a new refuge with the tribes of the city Yathrib (Madina). While the prominent tribes in Madina Aws & Qhazraj embraced Islam and submitted their pledges to Allah & His messenger, this new faith was thus adopted enraging the later in Makkah. This led to a series of offensives year after year until steadily God eliminated the disbelievers who resisted faith and who were opposed to Justice and truthful living.  Thus God commanded the believers to fight those who fought them and to drive away from where they were driven away. This does not mean that Islam cancels the existence of dissenting religions or even Idolaters in particular. God commanded Muhammad to clarify to people about Abraham’s legacy of dedicating worship to the one Creator God. Upon years of perseverance with them, the chiefs among the tribes in Makkah decided to fight Islam which led to their expulsion or facing extermination a set of reasonable options reciprocating their actions. Finally, in the seventh year Muslims ten thousand in number marched to liberate Makkah sighting a treachery of a treatise against Muslims from banu bakar a tribe allied with Quraysh of Makkah against banu kuzah a tribe who embraced Islam, allied with Muslims in Madina. This led to the wide spread acceptance of Islam in the whole of Arabia. Prophet Muhammad made a magnanimous decision to pardon the people of Makkah for their crimes against early Muslims which encouraged them to embrace faith avoiding their exile. Islamic wars always ended in this fashion, remember what commander An-Nasir Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub known as Saladin (1137–1193) did to the Crusaders, yes he imitated in the footsteps of the Prophet of God, Muhammad in extending amnesty to those of the crusaders who had butchered Muslims in Jerusalem before. Yes, its all about compassion and forgiveness from Muslims to all people, so it was before all that corruption that we see today.
